Karma Verified
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Karma Verified means someone on the Karma team checked this token's contract by hand before it got the badge. It is a contract check. It is not a review of the project, the team, or the token's prospects.
What the badge means
When you see the Karma Verified badge on a token, a member of our team has personally gone through the checks below before the badge was applied. We do this because the fastest way people lose money on new tokens is trading the wrong contract, a copymint or a lookalike sitting next to the real one. The badge tells you which contract we confirmed is the real one, and that it passed our other checks at the time we looked. That is all it tells you.
What we check
- The contract address matches the one the project publishes. Copymints and lookalike tokens are the most common way people lose money, so this is the main point of the check.
- A simulated sell from a real holder wallet goes through. This is our honeypot check, it catches contracts that let you buy but block you from selling.
- Real liquidity sits in a real pool, above a floor we set for that chain.
- No hidden mint, blacklist, or fee-changing function that we can find in the contract.
- Token metadata and decimals match what is on chain.
What we do not check
We do not check whether the project is good, whether the team is honest, or whether the price goes up. Karma Verified is not investment advice and not an endorsement of the token, the project, or the people behind it.
The 0% fee window
For 24 hours after a token is verified, Karma charges 0% of its own fee on trades of that token, on every chain Karma supports. Network gas and the routing cost from the pool or router still apply, the same as they would on any exchange. Holder cashback pauses on 0% trades, since there is no fee to rebate.
We can end a window early, for example if trading volume passes the cap we set for that token or if something about the token changes. We never accept payment from a project for verification or for the fee window.
Revocation
We remove the badge if a token stops passing the checks above, and the fee window ends with it. A token can lose the badge even if it previously held it, so verified status can change without notice.
Risk warning
Crypto tokens, especially newly launched ones, can lose all of their value in minutes. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. Nothing on Karma, including the Karma Verified badge, is financial advice.
